In the near future, a photogrammetrist hired by a VFX studio is sent to scan natural elements in the Yemeni desert. Responding to a distress call from one of his colleagues, he falls into a hole and finds himself trapped in an unknown location. Plunged into darkness, he uses his tools and soon realizes that this place is far more intriguing than it seems...

A photogrammetrist and VFX artist for the studio AoS is sent to the Yemeni desert with colleagues to gather references for the sequel to their blockbuster hit, Sables 3. While searching for a missing teammate, the protagonist falls into a hidden cavern.
Awakening in total darkness, he uses his tools to explore and discovers the ruined city of Iram, a fabled location thought lost to history. Haunted and mysterious, the city becomes the stage for his desperate attempt to escape.
The core gameplay revolves around using a LIDAR (telemetry) and SOUND scanners to enhance the player’s senses and navigate the environment. This unpredictable and unsettling world challenges the player’s sanity. The goal is to overcome obstacles, solve environmental puzzles, and find a way out to survive.
"Atlantis of Sands" is currently our third-years project before graduating and is in development.
